The Cheapest Second Hand Impulse Response Effect

I am not in to modern electronics for a very long time and I dont know how impulse response effect been called ?

I have classical music records and want to use short cuts as my impulse response ? Is it viable ?

I have stagg fretless bass and want to change its sound in to viola cello violin chord together sound. I dont know is it possible and what is the cheapest electronic for it.

I paid for the bass 35 dollars and to the defretting filling plaining other 35 dollars.
I have palm sized amp and a headphone.

You can derive my budget from there.

Did you type this on a computer or phone?

If you have a computer, finding software is your best hope, however good software is not low cost. Some free apps will do some of what you want.

An Impulse will not get you wat you want. Impulses are used to change the tone of the sound, like a fancy EQ.

If you want to change bass to cello you are best off to use MIDI. You will need something to change your bass notes to MIDI notes, which again is not cheap, and also not the best solution at the low cost end of the spectrum.

Expect to pay $200 minimum to get setup with a computer if you already have one (includes the software and a hardware to input your bass to computer).

Do I need to buy a midi card to connect guitar to windows 10 pc ? I know midi is 40 years old stuff but a impulse response is started to newly been told. Can I install one mp3 cut to midi software and get whole instrument to play ? or does impulse response is better to do it ? What is the name of impulse response box ?
