The five things that I always have in my gigbag!

Spare guitar cable and a spare iec power cable.

One problem with amps and stuff with iec power cables is that the cable is detachable with no place to store it on the amp itself. Thus it is easily lost or forgotten when packing.

I was without the cord at one gig. Luckily, they are fairly common on computers. This was at church, and I found a computer not being used and borrowed the iec cable from it.

Never again! There is an iec cable in all my gig bags and cases, plus one stashed in all the cars.

I carry at least 2 of everything; sets of strings, instrument cables, speaker leads, power cables, straps, tuners, basses, amps, cabs and I carry fuses, tools, extra foam, 3 forms of hearing protection, etc etc. . . .

I managed to forget my favourite IEC cable at a gig a few weeks back… it was long and “smooth”, not stiff and obnoxious as some may be from time to time. Seems like a silly thing, but I miss that cable…
