I recently came across Lexington Lab Band, and I love what they've been doing! When I lived in the Lex area in the 80's and 90's, I was fortunate enough to play music with some of the guest musicians in their orbit. I also worked some with one of the main members, Steve Broderson, who is a terrific songwriter, guitarist and vocalist. I'm really glad to see Steve gain a wider audience through the LLB project. I don't know their main bass player, Michael Vandemark?), but as a fellow "Michael V", I thoroughly appreciate his talents as a bassist and the director of this ongoing project.

Short notice, but LLB will be playing this weekend (Sunday, Sept. 5) in Wilmore, Ky. Any Talkbassers in central Kentucky should go check these guys out. Gig details are on their website linked above.
