I agree to keep it simple, bare bone but I don't agree that bass and drums have a special relationship.

If you listen well enough you'll hear that the piano part is also locking with the drums ... they are all one big rythm section ( still hate those words ) and the singer is kinda like a soloist not really over it but not following the same rythm pattern.

I guess I'm weird to be preaching something different
