Hey, I'm hoping to crowd source a comprehensive list of all the various Trace Elliot amps, cabs, combos, pedals, etc... as well as overviews on the different lines how they differ from each other, maybe other random info like endorsees over the years, anything that might be pertinent to someone who wanted to learn more about Trace, in fact form (the "club" thread is already good for personal anecdotes, nostalgia, etc...).

So if you have a contribution, please post and I'll try to regularly go through the new posts and integrate any knew info.

Thanks!

"Elf" - Most recent (as of 2018) lineup of the Peavey era. Elf 200w head, Transit A and Transit B preamp pedals (acoustic and bass oriented, respectively), 1x10 and 2x8 bass cabs. Light, portable, modern. Class D MICRO head (~2 lbs), neo (confirmation?) cabs. Most popular Trace line in a long time (despite the awesomeness of earlier Peavey era gear).

It just started so it's empty. If you would delete your post, the idea is to have the first 5-10 posts be for different sections to keep things readable, and then contributions after that. Thanks.

Ok, I should have enough "place holder" posts now. None of this is formatted yet, that will take shape as we get more contributions or I add stuff myself. So feel free to post with any info, corrections. I want to have at least basic specs for the amps and cabs, including rough year/s of production, and obviously stuff like wattage, weight, and whatever else can be dug up. Scans of product brochures or ads would be cool to have in the thread if you have any.

Dont know about the 1x10 but the Elf 2x8 I can confirm has two 16 ohm Faital 8PR210 Neo Drivers. Little beasts they are!

I'm wanting to identify this cab. Im thinking it's a Red Stripe 1018, but can't find any specs!

Take a multi meter set it for ohms, connect a speaker cord to the cab, read the ohms between tip and sleeve of the 1/4" connector on the end of the cord, and tell us what the reading is. We will the tell you what the ohms of the cab is.

With 1/4” to XLR...13.8 and with a standard 1/4 to 1/4 I’m getting 7.7. The XLR is pin 2 hot and pin 1 ground and nothing on pin 3. I’m using left XLR into cab or top 1/4”
