Thoughts on Two Notes Mesa Bass DynIRs?

Hi All!

I’m interested in checking out Two Notes’ official Mesa bass cabinet IRs. I have a Mesa D800+ head and a couple of Subway cabinets. I thought about picking up the bass IR pack for recording. I would record direct and blend in the IR signal to add the flavor of the cabinet. Have any of you tried these IRs? I can’t find any samples or demos anywhere. I have other Mesa bass cabinet IRs, but I am specifically interested in learning more about Two Notes’ proprietary “official” Mesa DynIRs.

Everything Two Notes does is pretty high quality, so I’m sure they’re great. Perhaps @agedhorse knows something about this collaborative product since Mesa would have been involved in order for it to be an official product.

If you have Mesa cabs you like, a room that you like the sound of, and a mic that you like on the cab you could always create your own IRs.

The sell a single cab for $10
If you contact them they might just discount this off a pack if you later decide to buy it.

Myself, IMHO - I'd always get the official manufactured endorsed/certified IR, models, emulation, sims, ... as they represent what the original manufacturer intended and they meet some quality standard.

That being said - Two Note does sell a bunch of implied models of other manufacturer's cabs of which they tack on some clever name so you know what it is. I think this is bad business - they should seek endorsement from the original manufacturers.

@seamonkey - Understood. In this case, these are officially licensed Mesa cabs.
