Clones (Epi, Warmoth, etc.) are welcome.

Mine is a Vintage Sunburst Epi. Has a darker finish than most Thunderbirds.

'76 Gibson Thunderbird, I'm the original owner:

My other '76, I rescued it two years ago. Found it on Ebay, completely stripped of all hardware, pickguards, etc. They even removed the truss rod nut. I was fortunate enough to find all original parts for it:

I also have a Brice FB-1 Thunderbird copy, but no pictures.

1979 T-Bird.

I've had it since 92 or 93- it was my main bass for around 5 years. Since then it was kind of in "retirement" until last year.

Odd thing about the 1979 'Birds, I've read that Gibson's shipping records state there were only 8 Thunderbirds sent out in 1979. Between mine and others I've seen on the intArwebs I've seen all 8 of them plus another 10 or so...

nice! where did you get the EPI non-reverses from?

Heres mine: Epi T-bird before I installed the killswitch and active pickups. Got this for christmas last year also. yay.:hyper:

I picked them up from Ebay & Craigslist. It took me a long time to find them. Now I'm thinking of selling them so I can fund a Gibson LP Standard bass that I have on lay-away. GAS is an evil thing!!:crying:

My 76' Tbird.....seen a lot of miles and I don't take her out of the studio much these days, but still got that amazing tone.

Anybody own one of the new Gibson Tbird 5 strings? Saw one at GC the other day, doesn't look like it's neck thru, but still caught my eye.
