Hi all. I am doing Nobody's Fault but Mine in a cover band and I am trying to figure out the time signature of it. I think it is 6/8 When the intro gets done playing or the end of the chorus I can count Six Beats to where of the chord progression begins again for the chorus. In other words where the band jumps in after Jimmy's intro there is that pause and then the decendingb chord progression to E where it rests for a few beats before the verse. It is certainly a little odd and difficult to do by I feel. have I worked out the proper method for counting this? I have tried to Google search it to no avail. Thanks.

I'm in a Zep tribute, and I've played that song with 2 other bands. It's not counted accurately in the recording (Zep did a lot of improv and edits that aren't in perfect time), and the simplest route to take is to count it in regular time. Or use vocal cues and have the drummer click the starts off of that. Trying to get it perfectly as on the album is tough, and doesn't seem worth it.

I don't know how to share facebook videos, but if this works :)... this is me doing it with a cover band back in 2015. You can check what we did, which worked well. If it doesn't link and ya want to see it my I'll post my facebook page beneath. Ya'd have to scroll to the end of 2015 though. I don't post much, so it's not really a whole lot.

Thank you. For some reason I can't view the video. I figure I will have to work it out with the drummer, but am trying to time it to the album. It is a little ambiguous for sure. This is a brand new band and we've only played together once so I want to walk in with it as tight as I can get it.
