So I took my little pedalboard I've been working on for a couple of weeks (cabin fever project) out for its virgin gig last night. Lots of fun! But at one point I bypassed it and plugged straight into the amp, and was - not shocked, but a little surprised how much tone loss I was suffering. I believe two of my pedals - Joyo and Moorer - are true bypass, and the two Boss and one Digitech are not. Is that the trick, go all true bypass? Anything else I can do to preserve my tone? Or is that just the nature of using multiple effects? (All are powered by a One Spot).
