Tom T-Bone Wolk's musical evolution

A couple of recent threads got me thinking of T-bone. It's sort of an insult to put him in a "bassists" thread but there is no "guitarists" thread so my apologies to him, his family and his fans. RIP, Tom.

Famous for being just the bass player of SNL and Hall and Oates:

What’s wrong calling him a bassist? He was a killer bassist when he played that role. He was the bassist on “The Breaks,” by Kurtis Blow, one of the earliest hit Rap songs I know about.

I seem to remember he started on accordion, he was a musician, a great musician and was great in any musical endeavor he was involved in.

"Rock Riffs For Bass" was a very nice electric Bass book...in a time when there were slim pickings.

I miss T-Bone - he was a good bassist and a great musician. I remember BP did an interview with him and it helped me check out songs I'd not heard him on.

That being said, doesn't matter that he ended his days as a guitarist. He was a musician, and still played his heart out.
