Hi everyone, I need some suggestions on how to condensed gear to get my basic tone. Right now I have four things that are always on to get my growling tone. My most recent setup (with only pedals that are always on):
EBS Multidrive
EBS Multicomp
Tech21 VT Bass Rack
Avalon U5
My tone starts with the VT Bass. That had great compression, but was not very dynamic and was too mushy. So I added the Avalon U5 after the VT and use the blend knob on the VT to add some powerful clean DI sound to get a great tone. But now the tone did not have enough compression. So I added the EBS Multicomp, which has a slow attack so the signal was still dynamic. I also us the tubesim mode and get some tubey grit and dymanics. So that was my basic clean sound. For overdrive (which is my default tone most of the time), I use the EBS Multidrive. This is a very underated bass overdrive because it bypasses the low end and only adds dirt to the mids/highs, beautiful!
Is there a bass amp with all four of the things I described? Or maybe one pedal that can replace the EBS Multicomp and Multidrive?
