Tort vs Matte Black Pickguard on my P Bass

Tort is classic and usually always nice, but the black is badass, and I've recently been appreciating black more… especially matte black, my favorite variety.

I agree. I think matte black looks way better than the regular gloss black.

Quick question, does that matte black pickguard chip at all? Like when you actually play with a pick I mean, atleast in the long run. Looking to get one myself for a bass I’m getting for Christmas. The Fender American Professional Mustang in surf green(satin)
