Best thing you can do set up the PA and spend some time working with your tone. I've stated it before, but I rarely use a high-pass on bass guitar. Most often if I find things a little bassy I will us a shelving eq to tame things a bit rather than rolling the low end out completely. If you have the chance, having the full PA available (in a decent acoustic space) along with your bass to really spend some time learning how it responds to changes in EQ, shelving, etc. will be a very worthwhile endeavor. Bass is often one of the most challenging instruments to mix and is highly impacted by the tuning of most PA's (e.g. crossover point, gain staging in subs versus tops, etc.) so it can be very educational to hear all of those things work together to impact your sound. If you can beg/borrow/steal a looper so that you can do the knob twisting while 'you' are playing it's even better.
