Been thinking recently about getting the new trace elliot 1 x 10 to go with the elf amp I got. I currently have a 1518c and I'm just wondering if the 1 x 10 would put out a similar volume? From what I've seen on the specs of both I'm pretty sure they both all up to 300w output. I never usually push the 1518c to the max very much though.
I'm not super tech minded cabwise so do people know if I'd still be getting similar results from the 1 x 10? The main reason is the size and weight atm....1518 isn't too heavy but if this can make life easier with good results why not eh?

Ok, thanks for the replies :) I reckon I'll give it a miss then. Get plenty of nice sound from the 1518c was just confused as the specs said they both put out same amount of watts. Gonna stick with it then, had it a few years and it's nice sounding and reliable :) was just hoping to get similar results that weighed less

Please don’t confuse the power handling of a speaker cabinet with how loud it will get. That is a matter of efficiency of the driver(s). Put 300W into an efficient JBL cabinet and it will get loud. 300W in something like a car subwoofer not so much.

I use a 2x10 as my standard cabinet. I wouldn’t play any sort of a gig without two of them in a vertical 4x10 stack.

Ah right, thanks very much for your help :)
I've never had any problems being heard at gigs with the 1518 but we only really play small punk rock shows and I'll use a d.i from my sansamp whenever possible.
I'll stick with what I've got for now then :)
