*Trace Elliot 5001 head & two 1248H cabinets

I dont know a lot about this rig. My friend is in hospice and asked me to try selling it to help cover his final costs.

I know it's a tube head.
Cabinets house four 12" speakers.
There are 2 cabinets (full stack).
Everything is green and says made in England.

I've seen one 5001 head sell recently for $350 + shipping. But I haven't found any values on the cabinets.

Anyone have any insight, suggestions, or offers?

Thanks

The amplifier head is a hybrid, so it has tubes in the preamp section with a solid state power supply. This doesn’t make it a “tube head” per say. This knowledge may aid you when listing the item.

It is against forum rules to give you a price estimate unless you are a supporting member. What I can tell you is that the cabinets are going to have less value than the head, and shipping will be absolutely astronomical compared to the expected sale price. Older heavy cabinets also seem to take a long time to sell. If need of money is urgent I suggest taking the amp and cabinets to the nearest Guitar center and they will buy them. You won’t get as much money as you could by potentially selling them locally, but you won’t have to wait around or deal with shipping and/or Reverb fees and taxes. If you aren’t familiar with Reverb.com it is a great way to sell things, but it may take a while and there are fees and taxes.

Sorry about your friend. I hope I helped a bit.

Thank you. I considered guitar center but was afraid I'd be loading and unloading my truck with these beasts and driving with them in crappy Ohio weather , just for them to throw a serious lowball that I'd hard pass on and repeat the process that got me there (which is what happened when I took a bunch of music to The Exchange).

I've bought on reverb, but never sold. That's where I saw the same kind of head sell for $350, but found no cabs.
I perused through, and it seams similar to selling on ebay (which I've done plenty of). Reverb seams like the way to find my buyer though, since I dont think casual members can post to classifieds on here (??). I feel that limits the value of this site to its users, sustainers and casual passers through who may be considering supporting.
Idk. I was just looking for info and landed here. So thank you for replying with the info you provided.
