Trace Elliot AH Series Bass Heads

Anyone have any experience with the the Trace Elliot AH series heads with the 12 band eq?

I'm considering one that I found online and can't find much information. I've heard that they sound incredible but not yet come across any sort of description of their tone in general. That and any other information would be most appreciated!

I have an AH1200SM, which is a beast. The tone is really quite excellent, and classic Trace Elliot, with that great combination of cut, punch, warmth and clarity. But to be honest, it's more amp than you need (and heavier than you need), and I would think that the AH600SM is more than enough. Of course, mine only has the 7-band EQ.

FWIW, I compared this head to the amp section of the newer Trace Elliot 1210 combo back in BGM #10.

I found an AH-750 head at a GC in Jersey for $179. It appears to be in pretty awesome shape so I snagged it.

They also have a new-ish looking 15 inch Trace cabinet so I'm grabbing it as well.

My new head and cabinet came in yesterday. GC listed the head incorrectly as an AH-750, which may be why I had trouble finding info on it. It's actually an AH-250/GP 11 in excellent condition, as is the cabinet. Someone seriously took care of both pieces! All good!

I only got to spend a few minutes last night and again this afternoon playing but I'm am so happy with the tone, features, and condition. I'll keep an eye out for another 1518 cabinet in great condition to top it off (not that it's necessary).

Nice score, I guessed as much from the pricing. Adding another cab you will only need to turn up to 2.5 to get drummer loud.

I'm not at all disappointed with the head or the mislabeled issue, but I should probably contact GC and let them know. I got a 1 year warranty and it also refers to it as an AH 750.

The old GP11 amps are pretty cool. I have an AH350 SM that I'm pretty happy with. Monster tone. Mine also has a functioning UV light. I should take a picture one of these days.

Unlike what some have posted in other threads that TE 's are weak compared to newer class D amps, obviously by now you know how wrong they are. It may say it's a 250, but man those things get mega loud!

Monster tone is right! Will be playing this one for quite some time.

I had a chance to play at a louder volume today. Not weak at all. Very nice!
