They have been owned by Peavey for a while now, who have claimed on numerous occasions that they will eventually be releasing new product under T-E branding.

When I woke up this morning, my Trace amp was gone!
And I want it back, uhh, so bad!
Oohh, I got the Elliot blues!
On a more serious note:
There's usually a fair deal of used ones on the market, and they are usually pretty cheap too compared with the quality you get.

So if I were to find a TE gp7sm 200, for about 75 bucks, and a TE 15 cab for about 75, should I get em both? Thx!
Peavey is as much Trace Elliot as Fender is Genz Benz/Hamer/whatever/many other brands. These companies buy the brand name and that's it. The new Trace Elliot stuff is purely Peavey designed, and not even close to being what a Trace Elliot is. So it's a Peavey with the TE logo on it. For example, if Fender comes out with a new amp with the "Genz Benz" label on it, do you think that amp, or the new Genzler amp are more in the spirit of what you want? Another example is VHT. Would you rather have a new VHT, or a new Fryette? Fryette for me.

They are quoting 200 watts into 4 ohms and a weight of 1.6 pounds.
Yes, it clearly is not the TE of old. But, if the price is right I'd consider buying one to keep in a storage bin in my gig van for emergency use only.
