trace elliot or markbass

So I ended up with a markbass compressore AND a trace elliot SMX compressor pedal. I can't decide which one to keep and which one to sell. What's your opinion?

If you are asking, you probably want the Markbass.

I don't have experience with Trace products. I've heard some of the older amps and liked what I heard, but the first time I played through a MarkBass amp I was super impressed. It was like going from cassette tape to vinyl. The Trace pedal is probably a newer product, right? If this is the case, I would go with MarkBass. If the Trace is newer, I would be afraid that the same butchering that Fender has done with SWR would flow into the newer TE generations.

Two very different animals. The Trace is great for that glassy 80's sound where as the Markbass is far more studio / tweekable and with a slightly warmer tone. Both great, but the Trace is quite noisy compared to modern units.
