Trade my SVT 4-pro for a '69 bassman with cab?

I've been trying to get rid of my SVT 4-pro Ampeg head for a while, but with little interest, but all of a sudden a guy wants to trade it for their '69 bassman head and original cab. Its the "export model", but it just means it has a variable voltage input to accommodate UK electrical nonsense. Everything but the tubes are original, and cosmetically its pretty good. Problem is, I have no real use for a rig this size so I'd probably just turn it around and sell it here, or to some 6 string player.

Is this a good trade, or am I going to have more trouble getting rid of this bassman than I am my Ampeg? Thoughts?

From what I've seen on Craigslist, bassmans sell fairly quickly--probably to guitar players. Being that it's a silver face bassman, I'm not sure you would get anymore money for it than if you directly selling your 4pro. I don't think it's worth the effort. I would just be a little more patient with your 4pro sale.

depends on what kind of gigging you do. i did bar/club gigs all over new orleans for 4 years with a simple 50 watt fender bassman and 1x15 cab. sounded great, i loved it. anything bigger and i had PA support so it didn't matter.

for some people they need 1000 watts and to crank their amp and treat it as if it's their personal subwoofer blowing their shirt. if that's you, then no don't do the trade. if you like warm clear tube tone and play with reasonable musicians who don't crank their amps or smash their kit then sure why not.

I dont need that kind of power. I really want to downsize to a 1x12 rig or perhaps 1x15 (still working that out). I currently have the 4-pro and a 410, and it just sits because I dont gig anymore. Its just for me to screw around at my place. Im working on selling the 4-pro and cab I have, but dont have any takers. I'll most likely never use the bassman other than to see how it sounds the first day, then promptly try to re-sell it. I suppose the basic question is financially, is this trade in my favor, or is it essentially a wash or even more effort by adding the trade element.

Thanks for all your feedback so far. This is helping to narrow my decision.

69 bassman depending on condition and blackface or silverface

blackface - 600+
silverface - 400+
cab - if it's the 32 x 21 x 10.5 with 2x12 then 400+, if its the large cab (bigger than those dimensions) 200+ (unless it has jbl d140 or d130 in which case pull those and sell for 150 a pop)
