Trying to add a “rick-o” sound thing only using either a dpst/dptt switch

You'll need a splitter box for this as well:

The push/pulls for the treble cut pots will look like this:

The pin-out for those switches is:

Here is the pin-out for on-on-on switches, which might help you with TRS output switching:

If you're not sure which you have, just check your switch using a multi-meter set to Ohms.

None of what you currently have will work, not even the treble cut pots.
(OK, the volume pots seem correct)

Oh my goodness, thanks so much man, you’re a life saver, or in this case, a solder saver. It kinda hurts because I worked hard on this diagram but, in the name of practical use, thanks for checking it man. I’ll need to think about this more, but while I’m doing that, have yourself a wonderful day/night/afternoon.

The treble cut pots are still the same :wideyed:
series-parallel-wiring-diagram-for-4conductor-humbucker-pickups-4-638-jpg-jpg.jpg

For the treble cut bypass to work:
left lug of pot to pin 2 of switch
input from pickup to center lug of pot (this lug is also connected to the next switch)
one leg of capacitor to pin 3 of switch
other leg to ground
TBH you could get away with a single pole, single throw switch, but I'm not sure they sell push/pull pots like that.

In the case of the TRS jack switch, you could use a single pole, double throw, but I couldn't find a drawing of one for an example:
DPDT-toggle-switch-diagram.png

pickup A input to pin 1 (and also to the Tip of the TRS jack)
pickup B input to pin 3
pin 5 to Ring of TRS jack

Thanks a lot dude, helps greatly. Just a couple more questions if that’s fine by you, is my rick-o sound switch actually usable, do I really need that spdt, and are the tone pots the basically thing really wrong, am I basically good to go if I didn’t want the tone pots? Sorry if this question’s repetitive.
