Double Bass Trying To figure out when my Pfretzschner was built

I picked this up in trade recently and I’ve been trying to find as much info on G.A. Pfretzschner as I can but it’s pretty scarce. The previous owner thinks it’s circa 1930 or so but what I’ve found only me leads me to believe it may be a little older. I’m hoping someone with some solid knowledge will know.

Hey Matt,

Is your bass fully ply? From your pics I can't be sure about the top, but the back definitely looks it.

I'm not sure how far back plywood basses go, but I haven't seen any older than the 1930s. The faux flame effect, which yours seems to have, is also something that I haven't seen on basses earlier than the 1930s.

I'll be interested to hear what others have to say...
