Trying to get my Fender P-Bass serial # verified…

Started thinking about selling my Precision, bought it in ‘79 from Leo’s Music in Berkeley, Ca. and at that time Leo himself told me it was a ‘78, and I think I paid $419 for it…
Searched the serial # just now and came up empty, has anybody else had this experience? (pic attached)

Hmm. I tried searching it too and I didn't turn up any results. I did just type the serial without the S in front and it came up with a princeton chorus amp. Weird...

I did look at another website that states if your serial number has a S followed by a 9 with 5 digits behind it. It's a 1978.
