I know John Paul Jones uses them. I think the cabinets they make are ugly though, look like pa speakers.TC Electronic has been doing it very well with the RH amps since 2009 and the more recent BH heads with the TonePrints. But I still prefer the way the RH heads emulate both Preamp and Power amp tubes in sound and feel. They are still the only ones that emulate both, other amps I have tried just go for Preamp distortion.
And it keeps getting better. I just got the latest version today. With its latest batch of drives patches, I’d seriously consider the Bergantino B|Amp. RIDICULOUSLY good tube drive available from soft clip purred overdrive to all our ball busting distortion.

Does it really? Hmmm, interesting as I didn't know that or I couldn't tell. The distortion didn't remind me of that and I couldn't feel the compression like you would with a tube amp or the RH heads. It just reminded me a lot of the Tone Hammer in how it breaks up quick with volume. YMMV.I'm sure there are others, but just to add one more, the VT Bass 500 that @SJan3 noted a few posts up also emulates pre and poweramp distortion. With the added bonus (IMO of course, I'm a Luddite ) of it being all analog.
