Tuner holes + replacements... a little confused

Hi all,

I am looking at converting a Fender-style headstock to a 3+1, and so I will need some new tuners, but I am having a hard time understanding how to measure and find compatible tuners.

My tuner holes are 0.71" - what tuners can I fit?

Metric. The holes are 18mm. Fairly common for Asian tuner sizes.

Do your tuners have a barrel-nut bushing (ferrule), or a press in bushing?

Thanks, I figured I wasn't crazy. I don't have a picture but yes they are press fit.

Most 1/2 type tuners should fit those bushings. Even American made because the asian tuner posts are so close to 1/2”.

Oh yes, I forgot to say that your stock tuners might be reversible. Many vintage type are. Just take them apart, flip the shaft over and see if they turn freely or if they bind up on you.
