Hi Lee!

Question about Turn Away, from JT's That's Why I'm Here. 1985.



Does anything stick out from those sessions? Is this your Frankenstein bass? or a Yamaha? Did you favor particular DIs back then? Seems like you also brought out the bass pedals on this one. It just sounds like it was a blast to play. Amazing band.

Your live sound and playing on this recording sounds quite similar to the studio sound. Was this when you were using GK or possibly the Ashly preamps? Thinking of some of the more rare gear on TechnoEmpire - who knew that Tube Works made amps? Did that Peavey tube preamp sound good? The voicing controls seem interesting.
