I bought a 5 string set of MM super brights several months ago. I used the .125 for my 5 string jazz bass, and today I'm finally getting around to putting the rest of the set on my p-bass.
The .105 and .85 look EXACTLY the same size... so much to the point that I cannot tell the two apart now. Has anyone ever had this happen? or are the strings that freaking close in size? No, I do not have access to a caliper. Also, these strings have remained in the package for months, so it's not possible that I jammed another string inside the package.
