UNIQUE NEAPOLITAN ACOUSTIC BASS - very very awesome prototype

Home made purely acoustic neapolitan-built bass.
For starters, I´m not a seller of basses, this one is the first of it´s kind,
(as far as I know) and I´m not selling it. It still have many design and
construction problems. This is just a very very awesome prototype.
Will upload videos soon.
Maybe I'll sell some day....in a galaxy far far away....LOL

Just enjoy please

It is meant to be played like a cello.
There are some pictures showing a tail spike.
It could also be played standing up.
Definitely not to play with a strap.

The bended top allows to create an angle for the strings at the bridge.
This presses the strings harder against the bridge,
delivering more tension to the top. More vibration.
It is also structural. This design is taken from old neapolitan mandolins.

Honestly, I would really like to make a living building stuff like this.
But not for now. Sorry.
Some day, I hope.....

Thanks all for the support!

Ooh! That's amazing! I have a bunch of old 12-string bowl-backed mandolins as restoration projects, I've always thought scaling the design up would be interesting. I want one...

Seriously, would you consider building another for the right price? Very interested here. Your woodworking looks amazing!

I don't care for the headstock.
Yeah, I'd go for a 2x2 style instead.
