Alright guys I played the show and oh man it was great lol. The first thing I want to mention is the sound guy. He was amazing! Put me through the PA system without me even asking, dialed every one in perfectly, he was on top of everything! A true professional.
Was super nervous of course but all the practicing I did paid off. I made a few minor mistakes through out the set but I took you guys advice and played through the screw ups. No one seemed to notice. The crowd really seemed to like our music.
After we got off stage I could not go anywhere in the venue without getting a compliment! Everyone was so surprised that it was only our first show and someone even compared me to the bassist from Tool!! I'm not as good as him but it was a great compliment.
Next to the sound guy, the real MVP was my squier bass. I've never played that loud before and man did my bass sound BIG coming out of the PA system. I can't believe my bass could sound like that. I felt powerful playing my squier VM PJ bass last night. I honestly don't see the point in buying a 2000 dollar bass anymore There are some pricey basses that I do want but everyone should know, your squier is most likely a beast of an instrument. Don't worry about the headstock name wars.
Wish I had photos to show you guys but I don't. I will however post our music video here when it releases. Just waiting to get the final cut back. Thanks for listening to me rant!
