Upgrade speaker for a Yorkville 115BX Cab??

I am looking for opinions on replacement speakers for a Yorkville 115BX, which is a no non-sense cab, just a box, really. The Cab works fine, I am just wondering if it would be worthwhile replacing the speaker?
If so, Celestion ?? Eminence ?? Delta?? I would invest in a medium priced speaker - 8 ohms, 300-400 watts rating.

Since I had the cab for so little money, I ended up spray paint the outside and the grill with satin black paint and I also painted the speaker cone in 'Orange', so it now matches well with my Jeff Berlin MarkBass combo !!! The cab looks brand new! Sounds great the two together and I have a great rig now! Of course, it is not perfect by all means, but for the fun I had doing that, it was worth it! All that for the cost of one spray can of paint ( I already had a satin black spray can ! )

It took me about one hour altogether to paint the cab, making it look brand new and also spray paint the driver, all this for 7.99$ ! Certainly, I would prefer another New York 151p MarkBass cab, but for what I paid, I could not go wrong and the Yorkville is still a very decent Tone beast and I still did not pay the 1150$ CDN Funds I would pay for a New York Cab!

Did you play your bass through the newly painted speaker while the paint dried on the cone?
Doing that will help better retain the cone's flexibility.

Also, if it is a ported cab, you might want to you some port lube so the air moves better.
This will help counteract the affects of the extra cone mass.

I did exactly that, I sprayed the speaker and played with just a few minutes later while it dried. The tone has not changed one bit,I cleaned the interior of the cab, all was intact. I will be honest, it sounds great, no issues at all from the paint. Of course, my expectations are reasonable too, but I did not notice any Tone difference or 'crap'. It just plain sounds good. It is a Yorkville, not a high end Mesa cab or else.
