I’ve had this EA NL210 cab since 2010 and I’ve always been happy with the punch it puts out. It’s light, transparent and 500w power rating at 8 ohm. The only thing is… it’s kind of an ugly beast (at least to me).

Then I thought, since I will never get rid of this cab why not make a cosmetic upgrade with metal corners and gold grille face?? Initially was gonna go for silver cloth but I’m happy with my choice in the end

Both Fender and Ampeg line of cabs currently have silver faces so I went a bit different with the gold to pop out in a crowd.

It’s sitting nicely in my Japanese room don’t you think?

Also put rubber feet on its side so I can go horizontal as well.

It’s now sitting atop my Berg CL112. I’m a happy camper!

Very nice! Tasteful change to the original. Definitely mutes the industrial look, and I agree it sits nicely against that goldenrod floor background

I like these mods. Gear that you use that you change to your vision for your own enjoyment.

Thank you for your kind words sir. Initially I was planning to put a new tolex as well but it was going to be astronomically expensive that I would either have to sell my Sadowsky or pet collie’s fur! I think I settled at a nice middle ground without spending too much

You should do it! When I got my cab back from the workshop my immediate response was…”why didn’t I do this sooner?”. I mean I had it for 13 years after all. Sure I had to pay for the mod but it’s definitely cheaper than buying yet more gear. Now I like the sound as well as its looks and so do my family. My kids call it a midlife crisis bling! I ain’t arguing with them
