Vintage 1961 Fender Jazz stack pot

I'm a motivated pro bassist/buyer who is combing the market, looking for an authentic vintage 1961 Fender Jazz stack pot bass in relatively good condition. I would expect some buckle rash on the back and the occasional nick/scratch, certainly one that has been played but well cared for. I've checked the 2016 Vintage magazine's price guide and the current reverb.com's guesstimate as to their range of value but I'm given to understand that these prices can fluctuate quite a bit over a period of just a couple of months.

Can someone with experience/knowledge give me an idea as to their concept of what the range in price would be for this particular bass in the condition given above?

If I were you I would first check out Kebos website and then call and talk to him. He is a reputable dealer of vintage Fenders and always has some stellar instruments in stock and frequently has stack knobs. Be prepared to pay 5 figures + for one, and for that kind of money I would be prepared to get on a plane to check one out and just consider it part of the cost of doing your due diligence to make sure you make and a sound decision in relation to both financial and playability concerns. And if it were me, I wouldn't just buy one off the internet, EVER FROM ANYONE. You might also check with Elderly Instruments. There a few other shops around the country but I'm sure others will chime in with their own suggestions.

Edit: He has one in stock right now for 15K
Looks like Rudys in New York City has one also.

Good luck

+1 for both Kebos and Elderly Instruments. I've had good experiences with both shops.
