I just have got an original PWB pedal and it's got an awesome great wah.
But my boost I dunno if it sounds quite right because soon as I press the boost button it doesn't give any distortion or substantial overdrive. So my cuestion is for those who have this pedal should the boost it work like this? is it normal? Thanks!

The Tel Ray era Morleys were extremely high end and expensive and they offered everything in an almost unlimited array of options. It wasn't a very big shop, so you'll see all kinds of variations and experiments within similar platforms- boutique before anyone ever used that word.

The boxes are so giant that you can also combine multiple into one unit. They are incredibly easy to pop the back off, get out your soldering iron, and modify. The early hand drawn and etched circuit boards are a treat to see. They are almost like a Heathkit era that encourage creativity, where a lay person can see the obvious and feel confident inside BUT- that 120v line will zap you pretty hard if you are not careful. It is very easy to mod them to ditch the power cord & fit your standard 9v pedal board power and feel a lot better messin' about...

I just picked up a tel-ray vol/boost pedal and the volume function works flawlessly. The boost function, when engaged, just produces a lot of static and unclear noise with no real signal at all. I cleaned up the potentiometer with contact cleaner but no change. I'm thinking now that there is a problem in the circuit. Have you had any luck with the challenge to your pedal

Do you by any chance have a link to somewhere that shows how to do this? I would love to ditch the power cord and transformer in my PWB

James, do you have any information (or a link) on how to ditch the power cord? Thanks
