Damn Mark, and the guys in my band think I'm a gear junky. You got me beat. I used to be heavily into the biamping, effects, stereo thing (Eg..Billy Sheehan), but drifted away from lugging all that equipment around.

Would love to hear your rig. Unfortunately, I can't download anything on this machine. No soundcard. Got to find a way to have work buy me a soundcard and speakers.

In my band, Second Story, I'm required to have a huge range of sounds and textures available to me. This rig gives it to me, and I never have to touch a setting on the amp or worry about doing the "pedal dance" to get just the sound I need.

If I was playing classic rock, I'd probably be playing a 4-string P-bass through a head/cab - but since I need everything from synth-bass to distortion to chorus to... etc., the flexible solution is what I need.
