Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but a pickup/electronics upgrade is something I'm considering as well on my Stiletto Stealth. And for anyone else considering it on their Stiletto Stealth, I have some information worth considering.

I discovered a quirk with the pickup rout on these basses. Yes, any standard P pickup should fit in but because the two halves of the P "overlap" each other more than usual, the strings will not slot perfectly between the pole pieces. Here is another Stealth owner's Reddit post showing what I mean:

I'm sure that person's bass sounds amazing, but if you obsess over little aesthetic details, it will be hard to get over the appearance of a bass where the strings don't line up "just right" between the pole pieces. So a P pickup with blade-style magnets might be better.

And another thing to consider is that because the bass is top routed (the preamp is under the pickguard rather than in a rear control cavity) some preamps might be a tight fit or not fit in at all. I know the higher end Stealth Pro uses EMG pickups and preamp, so I would assume an EMG preamp would fit into that rout.

ASIDE: I LOVE my Stiletto Stealth. The balance is amazing, playability rocks, the basswood body is light and resonant, the neck is narrow/fast but has some chunkiness to the profile (I prefer this over Soundgear pencil necks), and it's just a great looking bass that I can play in a suit 'n tie gig or a jeans 'n T-shirt gig.
