Warm R-Wounds with reduced harmonics? LOL-new set that sounds dead!

Hi Ya'll,
Looking to restring my maple neck, Peavey T-20. Original Rw's are @ 10yr's old and sound GREAT! except the e-string is dead and lacking output. I've been trying different strings but can't find the right set. D'Addario halfrounds were essentially flatwounds. Elixer's - not bad but darkened the sound in a weird way. GHS Pressure wounds - great reduction of the harmonics (just how I like it) but the iron in the alloy gave too much output from the already hot pickup and the tension was a bit more than I like. Fender 7150's pure Nickel's - tone was fantastic but way too many harmonics in the sound. LOL! I am hard to please! Any suggestions besides the obvious answer which is to play my 7150's until I kill the harmonics?

You should definitely try the GHS Balanced Nickels! Full-bodied pure nickel warmth with focus and definition but without the zing.

Ernie Ball nickel roundwounds die very fast for most people. They lasted me two days before going completely lifeless.
