Warwick Star Bass II

I have the german made star bass II, anything particular your interested about ?

How does it play? Ergonomics? How does it stack up with other $3000 basses?

Gonna jump in here too. I’ve got a Star II coming and kinda want to know what I’ve gotten myself into.

Its got that good german engineering feel to it, well made, nothing cheap feeling about it. Fantastic playing neck, great tone. The only thing that surprised me was that being a long scale bass the neck does hang out there a ways, I find it easier to play sitting down, a 32" scale may have been more comfortable. Hope this helps

I just got mine today and so far I can say that it's a pretty cool bass. Unfortunately mine came with super low action and I can't properly take it through it's paces, but I'm really digging the tonal options on this instrument. Have you found one locally that you can try?

No, i am not sure where to look. Lee Sklar gave it such good reviews, i am intrigued. I may be in NYC this summer. There are probably bass boutiqes there.
