A lot of my favorite musicians came out of his bands, what a great mentor and artist/creator.
Fly on Col. Bruce....................................................

I've been a fan since his days with The Grease Band. He introduced me to Oteil through the ARU. I never saw him live with the same lineup but he never had any halfsteppers on stage with him. He was an inspiration to so many; i miss him already.

Here's where i first got a look at Bruce up close and personal.

RIP Bruce your genius was woefully under appriciated.

That's cool.
Oteil played here in Va. Beach before Col. Bruce & ARU.
After a few years, I asked a friend who played in that band w/ Oteil & he hipped me to Col. Bruce & ARU.
I ran out to the last hip Record Store in Va. Beach & bought the Live Album & Mirrors Of Embarrassment.
This store stocked both.

So, Jimmy Herring, Jeff Sipe, Matt Mundy...ass kickers, all.

My Bride & I were lucky enough to see The Col. almost a dozen times at Hemlockfest...first week of Nov...Dalonagha, GA...
He and his friends closed Saturday evenings...Charter member of the lineup, he was revered!
Gonna be a helluva big gap to fill this coming Autumn.

I was watching Adult Swim the other night and one of the bumpers was an RIP for Col Bruce. As a matter of fact here he was on Adult Swim:

I've decided once I get my next paycheck I am going to order "Basically Frightened" off Amazon it will be only the second music doc that I've ordered after "Jaco".

C/S,
Rev J
