What companies sell P's with no pickguards?

I like the look of bare wood grain, uncovered by a pick guard. I also like P's!

How can I have both?

I'm aware of the Fodera P - any other ideas?

Yamaha had some BB series with and some without pickguard. I can think of BB-1200, there are probably more models.

• Buy a rear-routed replacement body in the natural finish of your choice from Warmoth
• Perform transplant procedure

Custom body would get my vote. Pair it with a nice neck, install pickups/bridge/tuners of your choice, and you'll be done.

That 2nd one is actually the blueprint for my next custom build - it's a Squier II P bass. The Korean ones were really nice, albeit generally plywood if that bothers you. Slab body, great necks
