Hi everyone,

So I have a Behringer Ultrabass BX4500H head I've been using for the last 13 years that I play through a Behringer BA810 cabinet. Normal wear and tear throughout the years, but nothing too rough (no falls, tips, and hard slams). I went to my band's jam space to practice alone and when I powered on the head, it started a horrendous squeal.

My bass has active pickups, but the battery is good and the cables work fine in other setups. I have a video, but this forum doesn't support the file type and I've had issues converting it. I'm thinking I might need a new setup, but I would prefer to save my rig.

Thanks in advance!

Even if you know your battery's good, can you play your bass through some other amp to be absolutely certain it's not the problem? Even a guitar amp would work, just don't turn it up very much... just enough to hear the signal well.
