What is the first PJ bass of Fender history?

Hi folks!

Yesterday while I was playing with my new Fender Precision Boxer (the Jazz Bass Special reissue made in Japan so to speak of which just yesterday I posted a review here), I was reflecting on what was actually the first Fender PJ in history. I know that Fender paradoxically came late compared to other brands and that the Precision that you saw in the late seventies with that configuration were nothing more than traditional Precision to which the owners had added the Jazz pickup.

But what's the first stock Fender with PJ configuration? I tried to look everywhere but it seems that there is no news on this subject, so I have the doubt that it is in fact the Fender Jazz Bass Special of the 84 the first official experiment ... could it be? Does anyone know more about it?

Please help me, I am very curious about this

I think you're bang on the money there. Read the same somewhere only recently. First PJ was actually built by someone else way earlier.
