What pre-amp should I try with Bartollini Deep CB Jazz Bass pickup's,I am not feeling the Audere 6z

What pre-amp should I try with my Bartollini Deep CB Jazz Bass noise cancelling pickup's, I am not feeling the Audere 6z drop in preamp , with a side mounted audio plug set up, i have had in it for several years, I need more growl, fullness and aggressiveness, more color to the tone, what should I try for a pre-amp? or are the pickup's the issue? or maybe both are the issue? I play rock, pop, gospel, funk etc.... The audere is too clean and or quiet for my liking, and to many options, I just want something that sounds great with little adjustment being needed.

I value your Opinions, thanks!!

I also like a little color and an aggressive tone.

My favorite preamp is the Bartolini TCT. It's musical, powerful and adds heft to the tone that other preamps are lacking!

The Aguilar OBP3 is an extremely aggressive preamp and very powerful. The preamp has less color than the Bart TCTand is not as musical. It also has extreme boost!

I say the pickups. I always preferred their standard Classic Bass, non "Deep" option. They sing way more. But then again, Audere are more of a subtle preamp, so changing out the preamp may compensate for the darker nature of your pickups...I think it's the pickups.
I have been thinking about the same thing lately, the Audere pre amp has great tone, but it is too subtle and transparent for my liking, it really is a great Pre don't take me wrong, I just want more color in my tone, and more grit, in that case I wonder at times if they both were the wrong choice for me??

I don't mind tone coloring preamps if it sounds good. That's all that matters to me.

Your post is confusing. The Classic Bass Series is the brighter sounding Pup.

I appreciate you reading my post, and anything you have to say is useful to me, also to let you know they have both, bright and deep sounding pickups in the classic bass series and I chose the Deep from their advice when I called Bartolini, it ended up being a mistake as far as I'm concerned, I don't like the tone of them, they are too deep and there is no sizzle in the high-end at all, I am convinced the high end Clarity I want does not exist in this type of pickup, then again maybe that's not what this type of pickup was made for in the first place, it doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad pickup, it just may not be what I was hoping for, it's just not voiced for the tone I was looking for.

No it's not, they have deep sounding pickups and right sounding pickups both in the classic series
