A rule change has come into effect on "What is it worth?" and "What would you pay for..." type threads.

To post a thread such as these you MUST be a supporting member. These types of threads should be posted in the forum for which they belong (ie; amps and related in Amps, basses in Basses, etc.) This policy covers and includes all sub-forums here at Talkbass.

The rule includes anything you are looking to sell, or even on your current personal gear. Like has been mentioned, too many people have been skirting the rules and this one rule stops that.

BTW, there are plenty of other places someone can get an idea of what gear is worth if they are willing to just do a little searching. Ebay and the TB Classifieds are a good start and Google can bring up more sources. Ofcourse, the TB membership is the greatest source of all and I think a $20 supporting membership is a small price for what you get in return here at Talkbass. I'm a mod and I pay for it! :cool:

Hey kids;
your opinion of a rule doesn't change the fact that by signing the user agreement here, you agreed to abide by the rules here. I've enforced plenty of these, when they're reported and will continue to.
We're a volunteer staff here, and there's no way to individually review the thousands of posts every day. So if you see something that shouldn't be up, and it's there for days not going away REPORT IT and it'll get taken care of to the best of our abilities.

thanks.

Pretty much says it all. Now that supporting membership can be purchased on a monthly basis for $4 for classified access, the issue is even simpler. Those who feel the rules are restrictive are welcome to boycott the site in protest.
