It seems as though I'm a soapbard pickup kind of guy and like the smooth fingertone I get out of the ones I've owned. I've tried multiple USA Barts, Nordtrand DC and Big Singles, Benavente DC, and Aguilar DCB. I wanted to see what other's have tried and liked best. What is it you liked best with them?

Q-Tuner BL-4. Love the way harmonics present, and all the adjustability.

I'm quite fond of the Bartolini T4CBC I have in my Roscoe LG Standard one-off

That is the 1 Nordie Pickup I've never played along with Big Stacks. What do you like about them and have you played other Nordie pickups?
I’m not honey, but the big split is my favorite pickup. It has what I like about Bart soapbars (warmth and mid punch and growl) but with more clarity, plus some of the aggression of a big single but fatter and with a sweeter and less harsh top end. It’s my first choice for a bridge Pickup - does the Jaco thing with less honk and more beef. It also sounds like a brighter/tighter P pickup when it’s in that location.

I've played a Big Single and the two MM5 pickups (dual and quad). I don't really like their MM pickups but I have a feeling I just don't really like classically voiced MM humbuckers, I much prefer hotter output versions that can sound full with flat EQ, whereas I feel like classically voiced MM humbuckers kind of need a bit of bass boost to sound right. As for the Big Single, I think the Big Split is similar to a Big Single but better because it sits really well in a mix, has zero noise, and has the flavor profile somewhere between a P and a J.

Delanos No need to look further or elsewhere. Passive 500K pots. With a single-coil/series switch. Had them originally wired up with parallel and no switch. This is muuuccchhh more versatile. Bonus - because they're 4-wire, you can have one series, one single-coil if you want. I'ts more than enough options for me.
