Where did the Harmony H22 -- Want to Buy thread go? And why?

I think it's strange policy to limit people from reading and responding to a "wanted" classified ad. I can see having to be a supporting member to post one. But the rule limits the people that can see it and respond to it. Which isn't really helping the poster, no?

In a sense I see what you mean, but if non-members can see the wanted ads, this allows them to sell their gear through TB and thereby make money without supporting the forum. It's only a couple bucks a year... if I wasn't as content with my gear as I am and still feeling the GAS, I'd still have a supporting membership for sure. Well worth it!

Thanks to @bholder for solving the mystery. I wonder if the transfer may be due to moderator error. I read the initial post as a "would like to have" rather than a "want to buy (from TB)" message. I have seen numerous similar posts that were not removed and relocated, and the initial responses to this post certainly remove it from want to buy, since they were discussing the sound of the H22 or other strategic options for obtaining a hollow body bass.

I think the discussion should be restored to its original sub-forum. Having it in classifieds is in nobody's interest and only stifles discussion. We had already moved beyond "want to buy" by the time the thread was moved.

So has anyone got to play both the reissue and the original h22? any thoughts on it, or any opions on the new kay reissue either? I really wish I could find parts to make something close to an h22 but I'm not sure yet how id design it. Ive had the chance of restoring an old melody maker by installing all new hardware and bridge, electronics, and even hand carving a new pick guard for it to have two single coils pickups. I just love the naturalness of the h22, if i could just have one bass perhaps...haha
