Where to start for getting into Pino?

Well, first take him to romantic dinner :) Sorry, could not ressist.

His early work with Paul Young on Stingray is legendary, but I prefere him with D'angelo on album Voodoo. Everyone should listen to it... There is also great trio live with John Mayer (Try!)

Edit: Black Mesiah (D'angelo) album is also great!

my favorite work by Pino is with D'Angelo (Voodoo, Black Messiah), Erykah Badu (Mama's Gun), Roy Hargrove's RH Factor, Chris Dave's Drumheadz, on the soul, hip-hop side.
but also on the rock and rock-blues side, John Mayer Trio, The Who...
i mean, this man plays everything perfectly and he does it with his own style, what can you say?
