Hey guys..
I really like the Fender Mustang Basses that are now currently on sale. I'm looking forward to buy one and I could not find a thread like this anywhere:

AM Performer (1000€ - 1100USD) vs Vintera (830€ - 930USD) vs JMJ (1000€ - 1100USD)

AM Performer is MIA, other two are MIM. They all weight around the same. Vintera is not rosewood as the other two.
The main difference I see here is the pickups:
AM Performer has 1 Yosemite Jass and 1 Yosmite Mustang Single Coil
JMJ has Custom Seymour Duncan Split single coil
Vintera Vintage-Style '60s Split Single-Coil Mustang

They all sound great to me, but I'd like to know other opinions and how you can compare them better!

Thanks!

I have a couple of '78 Musicmasters that I quite like, but for some reason cannot shake the lust for the JMJ Mustang... Everything about it says "You need me in your life", and the sound clips I've heard only reinforce this!

I'm put off by the PJ Mustangs, but that's just me. They get massive love everywhere, so there is something right about them. The few times I've heard them live, I have been impressed (PDX is seeing a surge of these at local shows).

I bought an American Performer Mustang and just love it. It plays well and has got the best sound to my ears of all the Mustangs I have had. Loads of bottom end which sometimes has been missing, to my ears, with some I have owned.

I recently bought the ebony special edition Mustang PJ at Guitar Center. I've had the CIJ/MIJ as well as the standard PJ and I've tried the JMJ and Mikey Way. I find the ebony version to be the best sounding of those.
