I have a 2017 Fender Jazz Pro, a 2017 Fender Jazz Elite, a 1986 Kubicki Ex-Factor and I'll soon add a Fender Precision Pro to the collection. One of these basses will get a set of Thomastik Infeld Jazz Flats J344. However, my dilemma is which bass should get the TI Flats? I'll put rounds on the others but I'd like to have TI's on at least one.
I see that there are a lot of bass players on TB who prefer flats on their Precisions followed closely by flats as the choice of string for the Jazz style basses. Putting flats on a Kubicki seems a little weird to me and I could be wrong but I think Phillip Kubicki designed the Ex-Factor with rounds as the optimum type of string for this bass.
So if these were your basses, which one do you think would benefit the most with a set of TI Jazz Flats and why???
