Which Rack Case for Orange OB1-500

So I just ordered an OB1-500 to use as my main amp in my hard rock band. Super stoked to finally stop using pedals and obsessing over them and just use the gain in the amp.

I have never owned a rack mount head before, so my question is;

Does anyone own this amp? If so, what case do you use, a 2u shallow? a regular 2u? Do you have overheating issues with the amp? Would it be a safer bet to go with a 3u so the amp has a bit of breathing room?

I don’t own the orange, but I do have an Ampeg SVT 2 Pro in a rack mount case. I would error on the extra space for additional air flow. I would also see where your head intake/ vents are located to help your decision. My SVT 2 Pro gets hot so I have extra space below and above. I’ll eventually get a mesh spacer plate for the empty spaces. Good luck on your rack case shopping.

Looks like the vents are on the top. It is a solid state head and not tube so I doubt it will get super hot.

Let me know when you get it. Not much info as I’d want on this amp but I’m also interested, in contrast to a Mesa m6 carbine.
