Will a TC Electronics Thrust BQ500 pair with a Peavey 810Tx?

My drummer has a Peavey 810TX, and he’s looking to get a head for it for cheap. He’s looking at the TCElectronics Thrust BQ500, which has these specs:

500w Class D
4 ohm minimum

and the Peavey 810TX has these specs :800w program
400w continuous
4 ohm cab

I want to know if he will melt anything running this, and if it will push his cab decently .

That power rating on that head is Max power not continuous or RMS. I have that head and it is fairly powerful . I would imagine even louder through an 810 .
