Wiring Advice Needed Please!

Hi TB,

I've always found these forums to be a wealth of knowledge, so I'm hoping that to be the case now.
I'm currently in Stage 4 lockdown here in Melbourne so I've started upgrading an old bass of mine....mind you I'm a complete novice when it comes to bass electronics.
I have a Darkglass Tone Capsule preamp which I plan to pair with a set of Seymour Duncan SSB-4S Phase II passive pickups.
My bass & only has 3 'pot holes' & I was hoping to keep it that way so I contacted DG re if I can stack the Low Mid/Hi Mid pots. I was was told I could use 50k Stacked Linear Pots.

Now what I need to know is what kind of stacked pot can/should I use for the Volume/Volume?

Basically I want to use my 3 pot holes as Stacked Vol/Vol + Bass + Stackee Low Mid/Hi Mid.

If anyone has any advice on the wiring or experience with the DG Tone Capsule, in particular what EMG35 size pickups work best with it the info would be greatly appreciated.

Have you looked at the pots that came with the Pre-amp? My guess is they are 50K Linear taper also if connected directly to the pre-amp. Do you have a volt-ohm meter you can check the resistance (unless the internal circuitry has low impedance then the reading will be lower).

Thanks for the reply. Yes I can confirm the 3 pots that come with the preamp are 50k.
So my plan so far is to use 1 of the 50k pots that came with it for the Bass, the Stacked 50k Linear pot I've purchased for the Low Mid/Hi Mids but I'm not sure what Stacked Vol/Vol pot to buy/use.

As I mentioned before, I'm a novice when it comes to electronics so I may have someone install this for me but I'd like to have all the parts I need in order 1st & be confident that the setup I want is possible.

Those SD SSB-4S PhaseII pickups looks passive so, you can use 250k volume pots.
If there is a diagram which shows 25k volume pots for those pickups, something else must be going on there.

Couldn't find them on Seymour Duncan website. But this page lists them as 3.3kohm and 3.7kohm:

Yes the pickups I'm going to be using are passive so I'll get a stacked 250k pot for the 2 pickup volumes & I should be set.

Stacked 500kohm/500kohm will work too, and will preserve more treble frequencies.
